What is a responsible breeder? Well according to Phoenix Rottweilers, they "Strive to produce a dog sound in conformation, working ability, health and above all else, temperament." and also "We require all of our breeding stock to be able to perform the work it was bred for, as well as being a well accepted member of society.".
So that brings us to the next question: Now the puppies are here, now what? According to Phoenix Rottweilers, the pups are "raised inside our home with constant care and attention. At birth each puppy is given a colored collar, which is recorded along with its time of birth, weight, sex, and any other important details such as any white spots, double dew claws, etc." Why keep a record of the puppies? This helps Donna or/and Dawn determine which pup is appropriate for work, show/breeding and pet and to use in future breedings. Also the puppies are raised by using the "Carmen Battaglia method of Early Neurological Stimulation in order to produce the best dogs possible. These five simple exercises have proven to improve physical performance and increase tolerance to stress and infectious disease." (Phoenix Rottweilers). I will give out more information as the puppies continue to get bigger. Trust me there is a lot of it too.
