Dragon babies aren't babies anymore

I am so bad at blogging! For the life of me can't keep regular posts on any blogs I have; the only reason I kept up with this one is that I kept getting new pictures of the Dragon Babies. So anywhoo, I can't believe that they are going to be a year old in a few weeks! I am planning to throw a small bash for Comet; I have a local pet shop, "Spoiled Rotten" that carries little birthday cakes for dogs and I am thinking of picking one up. I know it seems silly but we never made to this milestone with Titan.

On the left is Comet at 11 months old and recently discovered that the lazy boy is not only useful to glance out the window, but to chill and snooze. This is the only piece of furniture that he climbs on, besides our bed, which I might add, is a rare treat. He weighs in about 83.6 (at Nov 1) and is just a goofball. He is loveable and stubborn, but all around a good pup! Yeah, Comet is loved!

Yes I am bad of keeping posting!

Well it has been a little over 2 months since Comet has been with this family. He has blended well with us and adores everyone, especially his "sister" Samantha-he really loves her and loves to giver kisses in the morning. Comet also seems to be a momma's boy and tends to come to me over everybody else. :) He is almost house broken (has a few accidents here and there) and whenever he needs to go out, Comet rings a bell at the door. Comet is also a star student in basic training and he will do anything for food! He is smart-sometimes too smart for his own good; it gets him in trouble sometimes. He has made other doggie friends and is really close to an old mutt named Tank. Comet gets random zoomies-mostly outside, but sometimes inside and he will run around the dinning room table, in hopes I will chase him-sometimes I do and he loves it. He attacks Samantha's stuffed Rottie, Helga and doesn't understand it's not real. Comet speaks on command and sings when we howl, and he barks in his sleep (dreaming of rabbits?). A couple of days ago he lost his first baby tooth and there will be more to follow.

The list can go on and on, but I have to say Dawn picked the perfect puppy for us! He is wonderful! Below there is a picture of my daughter and Comet when we first got him and a picture of Samantha and Comet now.

Ummm...why are you getting into "off-limits" items?

Comet is 13 weeks old and he and his rest of his siblings are in the phase of getting into "off-limit" items such as wires, trashcans, furniture. Comet has learned to jump onto the dinning room table and see what goodies are up there. He loves to stick his head into the living room trash can in hopes to find tissues, dryer cloths, and other yucky stuff. Comet's sister has even gotten into the beef roll that we use for treats in puppy class.

Otherwise being a puppy, Comet is a sweet little thing. But he does whine at everything-he whines when he wants to see someone, going to the bathroom (yes he does), whines because he wants too. He is a smart puppy and catches on things very fast-he is the shining star in puppy class (I know I sound like a bragging mother here!). Since I've not been posting as much lately here are two pictures of Comet; one is when I brought him home the first time and the other one was taken yesterday. You can tell how much he has grown!

Comet and the rest of the Dragon babies are 10 weeks old tomorrow

Comet has been home for 2 days and is adjusting very well. The first night was pretty rough though; 30 minutes of howling and yapping and finally quietness. He finally went asleep at 11:30 PM and didn't wake up till 4 AM but howled for another 30 minutes. Then another 2 and half hours of sleep for me and Comet. The next day I did teach him "sit" and "down" and didn't take him long to learn both. Now when I take him outside he sits in front of the door without being told and waits for me to put the leash on, open the door and waits for me to exit and then he follows. Same thing when he comes in and then sits back down so I can take the leash off and waits for me to say "okay" to goes off for a toy!

Comet's personality is so sweet-he loves everyone he meets and excitedly shakes his butt. He loves dogs his size, but is cautious with the bigger ones. At times he can be a goof, a clown, a love-bug, and stubborn, but he is very smart. He does not like carrots but likes cheese. All around Comet is a wonderful puppy.

Comet is Home!

I can't believe the moment is here! Comet is home! I met up Dawn at Petsmart in Bel Air, MD and was looking for her. I quickly spotted Fehren and then turned and saw Comet in the cart where Kevin was waiting. Everything around me seemed to disappear and no longer existed- it was just me and Comet. I almost cried but didn't get to that point; I just held him and kissed him. That emptiness I was feeling for 6 months vanished in a blink of a eye. Now the real stuff begins, puppy classes constant training, and cleaning pee and poop (but he seems to be doing good so far). It's nice to hear footsteps behind me again!

Dragon babies went to loving homes.

It is the day before Comet comes home and I have no idea which boy I am going to get. I am like a child on Christmas Eve night-I am too excited to sleep soundly and kept tossing and turning. Everything is ready for his homecoming, we just need Comet to complete our household. I am expecting to pick up Comet tomorrow!

The cutest litter on the earth!

Donna posted a whole bunch of pictures of the dragon babies playing the snow the other day. The funny thing is, they don't know they are going to be separated and put into a home where they will be loved and to mention SPOILED. It is hard to imagine that by the end of next week I will have one of those cuties running around my house. Has not sink in yet and still seems like it's months away.

I have most of the owners on my Facebook friend list and I am hoping they will update me with pictures, benchmarks and other information about their puppy. There are a lot of people who are keeping track of the dragon babies and they are hoping to continue.

Below are the pictures of the Dragon babies playing.
